Lateral compensation procedure:
1. Open the test picture “Längenabgleich.bmp” and maximise to full screen
2. Select the Zoom function from the OSD menu and increase the size of the test picture as
shown below
3. Compare the transitions between the vertical red, green and blue colours. The colour that is
furthest to the right is used as the reference and the time for the other colours increased.
4. The DIP switches are used to increase the times for the colours by between 0ns and 15ns, so
that the vertical shift comes as close as possible to the reference colour. How to use the DIP
switches is described above.
5. The time adjustment is completed once the vertical aspect of the colours is more or less
identical.
A menu appears on the display when the Menu button is pressed.
The next step uses the four buttons on the rear of the CHALLENGER 15/18 FMO display. The On
Screen Display (OSD) selection appears on the display when the Menu button is pressed, or by
using the key combination Ctrl + 0, S, D.
