9.1
Special personnel qualification required for maintenance work
Maintenance work may only be performed by specially qualified personnel in
accordance with the safety instructions.
All work on electrical equipment and electrical connection work may only ever
be carried out by trained specialist electrical personnel in accordance with the
wiring diagrams in these installation instructions.

9.2
Safety instructions for maintenance
To prevent damage to property and/or life-threatening injury to personnel
always observe the following:

Observe local regulations and safety requirements (NEC, UL or CSA, etc.)!

Warning mains voltage!
D
Before any work is performed on conductive components or lines the
electricity must be switched off and secured against being switched back on
again.
D
Whenever any unavoidable work is carried out on live components (eg:
testing to locate a fault), a second person must be present who can
disconnect/interrupt the power supply in the event of an emergency.
D
Only use original spare parts / original wearing parts / original accessories.
It cannot be guaranteed that parts from other manufacturers which have not
been approved by WestfaliaSurge have been designed correctly from the
point of view of requirements or safety.

Maintenance work should only be performed with the tools envisaged for this
purpose.
D
All warnings and warning signs must be present and legible.
D
Immediately replace any components that are not in perfect condition.
