5.5 HYPOXIA

In order to simulate a hypoxic event, open
the Hypoxia Page. This model allows users
to treat the emergency with he required
airway and ventilation exercises.
•
OMNI® 2 will detect ventilations automatically
and will measure whether or not they
meet or exceed CPR standards.
1.
To start a hypoxia session, select the
initial state of the simulator. Choose
from healthy, partial, or full cyanosis.
NOTE: Code Blue will display central
cyanosis of varying intensities.
2.
Change the deterioration and improvement
rates using the slide bar or +/- buttons so
that the patient becomes more hypoxic
if ventilations are not performed.
NOTE: Increase or decrease the rate of
improvement per round of correct ventilation.
