7. General Notes on Mechanics Setup
Before starting to set up the mechanics, gather information on some important notes:
• Every model helicopter is only as good as its assembly. Therefore, assemble it carefully and precisely according to
instructions. Incorrectly or wrongly assembled model helicopters will not only fly much worse, they also pose a considerable
safety risk.
• Comply with the assembly sketches in the manufacturer’s handbook precisely for assembly. Also observe that some
components must be fastened with special threadlocker varnish (not included). The different assembly sketches use the
following symbols for this (also see manufacturer’s manual, page 6).
Screw connection with threadlocker varnish L
Safety screw connection* with threadlocker varnish L
Safety screw connection* with anaerobic threadlocker varnish T
Application of threadlocker varnish L
Application of anaerobic threadlocker varnish
Application of 2-component adhesive
Application of instant glue
Application of lubricant
Correct compliance with the notes in the assembly sketches is of the utmost importance for function and
operational safety of the model.
* Because the operational safety of the model depends on these screw connections, pay special attention to firm connection/
screw connection of the components without overloading the screw material or component.
As threadlocker varnish L, you can use “Loctite 243” with medium hardness and as anaerobic threadlocker varnish T, you
can use “Scotch-Weld RT 48”. To be able to loosen the screws again for servicing, we advise against using threadlocker
varnish with high hardness.
