If the battery is installed vertically on the system board, press the battery
retention clip to the side and away from the battery, then lift the battery
out of the socket.

Press the new battery in the socket with the positive pole up. Make sure
you have pressed the battery down far enough for it to contact the base
of the socket (it should snap into place).

Close the case by following the instructions on page 21.

Reconnect peripherals, the modem cable, and the power cord, then turn
on the computer.

Open the BIOS Setup utility, then select
Load Custom BIOS Settings
from
the
Exit
menu.
