IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
Carefully read all instructions, before operating this appliance
and save for further reference. Do not attempt to use this appli-
ance for any other than the intended use, described in this booklet. Any
other use, especially misuse, can cause severe injuries or damage by electric
shock, overheating, fire, and harmful substances. These instructions are an
essential part of the appliance. Do not pass the appliance without this book-
let to third parties.
Any operation, repair, and technical maintenance of
the appliance or any part of it (e.g. power cord) other than described in
these instructions may only be performed by an authorised service centre
(see: ‘Warranty’). If required, get in contact with your vendor.
GENERAL SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
• If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its
service agent or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard.
• Regarding the instructions for cleaning surfaces in contact with food
or oil, thanks to refer to the below paragraph "Care and Cleaning"
in manual.
• This appliance is intended to be used in household and similar appli-
cations such as:
– staff kitchen areas in shops, offices and other working environments;
– farm houses;
– by clients in hotels, motels and other residential type environments;
– bed and breakfast type environments.
• This appliance is NOT intended for use in moving vehicles. Do not
operate or store the appliance in humid or wet areas or outdoors. Any
use of accessories, attachments or spare parts that are not recommen-
ded by the manufacturer or damaged in any way may result in inju-
ries to persons and/or damage due to fire, electric shock, or harmful
substances. The appliance is intended for roasting edible bakery pro-
duce. Do not heat any other type of food or any foreign objects via
the appliance.
Do not heat any food that may drip, melt, fall apart,
or splash when heated.

For avoiding the risk of fire and overheating: Bakery produce
(e.g.
bread, buns, cake)
may catch fire when overheated! Do not leave
the appliance unattended during operation.
Do not place inflamma-
ble liquids (e.g. high-proof alcoholic beverages) near or on the appli-
ance, while the appliance is operating. Check the entire appliance
regularly for proper operation. Do not operate the appliance, when
the appliance or any part of it is likely to be damaged, or has been
subject to inadmissible strain (e.g. over-heating, mechanical or elec-
tric shock, moisture in the interior). Immediately unplug the appliance,
if the appliance is not working properly or any problem occurs duri-
ng operation. Do not use any parts of the appliance with any other
device or for any purpose not described in this booklet. Before opera-
tion, always ensure that the crumb tray is inserted correktly. Operate
the appliance on a well accessible, stable, level, clean, dry, and suf-
ficiently large table or counter that is resistant against heat and water.
For avoiding the risk of fire, electric shock and overheating:
Do
not operate the appliance under overhanging boards and drop-lights
or near any delicate objects (e.g. curtains, table decoration). During
operation, always
leave at least 20 cm of free space on each side
and at least 1m of free space above the appliance
. Do not place
any clothes or tissue or other foreign objects under or on the appli-
ance during operation.
• The appliance is heated electrically. Do not attempt to heat the appli-
ance via any other source of energy. Do not place the appliance or
any part of it on or near hot surfaces (e.g. burner, heater, or oven).
Do not expose the appliance to direct sunlight for a long time.
•
Do not poke in the bread slits.
Do not insert your fingers or any
foreign objects (e.g. clothes, cooking utensils) into the bread slits,
when the appliance is live or still hot. Do not use any hard or sharp-
edged objects for operation (e.g. knives or forks). Do not handle the
appliance or any part of it with violence.
• This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and abo-
ve and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities
or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given super-
vision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way
and understand the hazards involved. Children shall not play with
the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by
