Failure to properly ground the compressor package could result in controller
malfunction.
7.
Rotation
- Check for correct motor rotation by jogging the motor. See
“Maintenance, Motor Jog”
menu in Controller Operating and Service Manual. Compressor drive shaft rotation must be:
1)
For Direct-Drive compressor, counterclockwise when facing the compressor shaft.
2)
For Gear-Drive compressor, clockwise when facing the compressor shaft.
Operation with incorrect motor rotation can damage equipment and cause oil
eruption from the compressor inlet. When checking motor rotation, induce
minimum rotation (less than one revolution if possible). Never allow motor to
reach full speed.
The compressor unit’s direction of rotation must be checked every time the
compressor package or its main motor is reconnected to the power supply.

Read the Controller Operating and Service Manual before operating the
compressor.
8.
Unload Pressure -
This is the package discharge pressure beyond which the controller will initiate
an unload action. The controller limits the unload pressure value to 3psi above the maximum
operating pressure on the compressor nameplate. See "Operational Settings" menu in Controller
Operating and Service Manual.
9.
Load Pressure
- This is the package discharge pressure at which the controller will halt the unload
action and load the compressor. It is typically selected 15psig below the Unload setting. See
"Operational Settings" menu in Controller Operating and Service Manual.
