Checking and replacing the cutting blade
WARNING!
Risk of injury!
The lawn mower’s cutting blade is very sharp. You could severely injure yourself
on it.
− For safety reasons, have a qualified professional sharpen, balance and
install the blades.
− Have the cutting blade checked regularly for damage. Have dull or dam-
aged blades replaced with a new original spare part by an authorised
specialist company only (see Chapter “Spare parts”).
− When working on the cutting blade, always turn off the motor and dis-
connect the ignition cable to prevent the cutting blade from accidentally
starting.
− Note that the cutting blade can be moved even when the motor is turned
off. Exercise extreme caution when working on the cutting blade.
− Always wear protective gloves when working on the cutting blade.
− Never grab the cutting blade with your bare hands.
WARNING!
Risk of explosion and fire!
Fuel may leak out if you put the lawn mower on its side with a filled fuel tank.
This could cause an explosion or a fire.
− Use a petrol suction pump to completely remove fuel from the lawn mower’s
fuel tank before putting the lawn mower on its side to carry out work on the
lawn mower.
NOTICE!
Risk of damage!
Improper handling of the lawn mower may result in damage.
− Never turn the lawn mower upside down. In order to work on the cutting
blade, tilt the lawn mower backwards so the spark plug is facing up.
