Adjusting the height of the upper handle
1. On both sides of the upper handle, open up the clamping levers
15
used for ad-
justing the height of the upper
2
handle (see
Fig. N
).
2. Adjust the upper handle to the desired height. When mowing, take care to keep a
normal body position (e.g. avoid slouching).
3. To secure the upper handle in place, click the two clamping levers back into place
so that they rest directly on the upper handle.
Setting the cutting height
WARNING!
Risk of injury and burns!
You may injure yourself or burn yourself on the lawn mower if you do not exer-
cise caution when adjusting the cutting height or if you do not wait for the lawn
mower motor to cool down.
− Make sure to turn off the motor and wait until the blades stop moving
before adjusting the cutting height.
− The motor will become hot during operation. Always wait until the motor
has cooled sufficiently before adjusting the cutting height. Otherwise you
can easily burn yourself.
− Be careful when adjusting the cutting height. Make sure not to get your
fingers caught on the lever for adjusting the cutting height.
− There are seven levels for adjusting the cutting height for a lawn length of ap-
prox. 30–80 mm (see
Fig M
).
− Pull the lever
11
for adjusting the cutting height outwards (towards the tyre),
slide it to the highest level and then click it into place. Make sure the lawn mower
raises or lowers during this part of the process (see
Fig. A
and
M
).
