Initial use
17
6. Insert the metal bracket into the corresponding holes in the top part of the grass
catcher bag and guide the support plates
21
into the corresponding slots in the
top part of the grass catcher bag (see
Fig. C
).
7. Use two M5 × 16 mm screws
23
and two M5 domed cap nuts
24
to securely at-
tach the metal bracket and support plates (see
Fig. D
).
8. Attach the top part of the grass catcher bag to the bottom part by screwing a ∅ 3 ×
25 mm screw
22
through the top part and bottom parts on both sides.
9. Insert the handle cover
26
into the corresponding opening under the handle on
the top part of the grass catcher bag (see
Fig. E
).
10. If the fill level indicator
25
has not been preinstalled, has been removed or has
come loose: insert the fill level indicator into the corresponding opening on the
top part of the grass catcher bag.
Installing the flap
1. Insert the leg springs
27
into the corresponding openings in the flap
6
(see
Fig. F
).
2. Lift up the leg spring and insert it into the opening provided on the back of the
lawn mower (see
Fig. G
).
3. Attach the flap to the lawn mower (see
Fig. H
) by inserting the flap rod
29
through the corresponding bracket on the lawn mower and the flap opening
28
so that it passes through to the other end of the flap.
4. Secure the rod in the flap by inserting a plug
30
on each side of the flap opening.
Make sure you hear both plugs click into the flap opening.
Installing the upper handle
1. Pull the lever
11
for adjusting the cutting height outwards (towards the tyre),
slide it to the highest level and then click it into place (see
Fig. A
and
M
). Note that
this will raise the lawn mower.
2. Insert the lower handle
12
into the corresponding slots on the lawn mower so
that the curved end is towards the back of the lawn mower (see
Fig. I
).
3. To attach the lower handle to the lawn mower, take a ∅ 5 × 19 mm
32
bolt and
a 5.5 × 14.5 mm
31
washer and, from the outside, insert them (on both sides)
through the hole provided on the slot on the lower handle.
4. Attach the two ends of the upper handle
2
to the lower handle (see
Fig. J
).
Depending on the desired height, choose either the two higher holes or the two
lower holes on the upper handle. Ensure that the Bowden cable
3
on the upper
and lower handle is on the same side and not twisted (see
Fig. A
and
O
).
5. From the inside, insert an M8 × 45 mm screw through
35
the lower handle and
upper handle.
