screw passing through the collar above the upper nut. This must be removed. Back the
Nut below down the screw before trying to remove the collar. That nut is tight against
the collar.
With the collar removed, take the nut off the top end of the screw.
Disassemble the top bearing assembly. There are screw(s) fixing it to the screw.
