Fuel priming (petrol only, L319-04, L320-05)
This routine will activate the fuel pump and injectors for a defined period of time. Air will be removed
from the system and replaced by fuel.
Note:
The idle speed may be increased for a short period of time when the engine is started.
Fuel Lift Pump Reset (Diesel only, L319, L320, L322*, L316)
Usage
This routine is required and automatically called when the engine ECU firmware is updated or remap
-
ped. If the learning is not successful or if the pump is replaced, the function should also be used.
Steps
• Start the routine
• Upon completion, turn the key to the off position for 20 seconds
• Start the engine and let it run for a few minutes
*3.6L Engine only
Injector Replacement (L316)
Usage
This routine is used when at least one fuel injector is replaced. Each injector code is entered manually
relative to its position.
Preparation
Each injector code is located on top of the injector. It is recommended to read and note the code(s)
prior to installing the new injector(s).
DPF Pressure Sensor Reset (L316-12)
Usage
This routine is required when:
• The Diesel Particulate Filter is replaced
• The differential pressure sensor is replaced
• The Engine ECU is replaced
