PTZ Configuration and AutoTracking
83
Description
Detailed description for the PTZ profile, normally contains camera manufacturer and model
number.
Protocol
The PTZ protocol for the current camera. Please refer to "IO Configuration"->"UART"->"PTZ
Protocol" for all supported PTZ protocols.
PTZ Auto-tracking Parameters
Minimum pan/tilt speed
The minimum value (as specified via the HTTP API) at which the camera starts to move in
pan & tilt directions. In most cases this value will be 0 since most cameras have a linear
relationship of min->max speed over the range 0-100. However, some cameras may exhibit
non-linearities and may not start moving until they reach a pre-defined minimum threshold.
Maximum pan/tilt speed
The maximum speed that should be used by the PTZ algorithm to control the pan/tilt motors
as a percentage of the maximum speed of the PTZ camera. It should be set to correspond to
a pan/tile movement of 30°/sec when the camera is fully zoomed out.
Tip
: If your camera oscillates back and forth or overshoots a target when tracking, try
reducing this value.
Pan/tilt speed gain
The gain factor to control the speed of pan/tilt. This parameter cannot be automatically
determined and needs to be determined according to the following manual process:
