IDL 101
MASTER FUNCTION
54
HB_IDL101_E_V222.doc
Gantner Instruments Test & Measurement GmbH
Notice:
Measurement values from external modules
cannot
be processed in the
Datalogger IDL 101, this means also
an averaging is not possible, only the actual value will be stored!
Notice:
In an RS-485 bus system only
one
master is possible. If more than one
Datalogger IDL 101 is installed in an
RS-485 bus system only
one
device can be set to the master function!
Figure 7.1 Example for use of a Datalogger IDL 101 as master in a bus system
If all these topics are fulfilled the system is ready for operation and the data logger will start to read out measurement
values of the selected channels via the RS-485 bus interface. The scan rate corresponds to the “Logging Interval“. For
further information see the online help of the
Configuration Software ICP 100.
7.1.1. Normal Mode
This mode is the normal type of operation and will be set to the
Datalogger IDL 101 automatically after power on. The
data logger can be operated only with the RS-232 interface because the RS-485 interface is used for connecting further
modules (see figure 7.1, Master Function).
