IP-MUX functionality
The modules of the
DP1.2-Vision-IP
series offer with the
IP-MUX
functionality the pos-
sibility to access different computer modules (one after the other).
To use this function, you can connect a maximum of 20 computers to separate com-
puter modules and configure these computer modules as remote targets (see
page 28 ff.) in the console module.
The configured
remote targets
can be connected via the local OSD of the console module.
Add, configuration and deletion of a remote target
How to add a new remote target:
1. Use the local hotkey

Num
to open the OSD of the console module.
2. Press
F11
to open the
Configuration
menu.
3. Select the entry
KVM connection
and press
Enter
.
4. Select the entry
RemoteTarget
and press
Enter
.
5. Press the
F3
key to create a new remote target.
6. Enter the following data:

F2
to save your settings.
IMPORTANT:
A console module can only be connected to one computer module at
a time!
Name:
Enter the name of the G&D remote station to be
displayed in the
Select
menu.
Hostname:
Enter the IP address/host name of the
G&D remote station.
NOTE:
In the
Hostname
field, you can use the key combination
Ctrl+F8
to open
the
Detected devices
dialog. This dialog shows you all unpaired remote stations
(computer modules and matrix switches).
Select the desired remote station and press
Enter
to apply the IP address of the
remote station.
