USB 2.0 Trans.|Tx:
When using an
ARU2
variant, insert the LC plug of the fibre optic
cable connected to the
USB 2.0 Trans.|Rx
interface of the computer module.
USB 2.0 Trans.|Rx:
When using an
ARU2
variant, insert the LC plug of the fibre optic
cable connected to the
USB 2.0 Trans.|Tx
interface of the computer module.
Connecting an additional interface of the CON-2 variants
Transmission|Tx:
Insert the LC plug of the fibre optic cable connected to the
Transmis-
sion|Rx
interface of a compatible computer module or matrix switch.
IMPORTANT:
Transmitting data of USB devices connected to the user module
between the user module and the computer module (and vice versa) requires trans-
mission modules that use laser technology and comply with laser class 1.
Please note the following safety instructions regarding this matter:
Only use G&D certified transmission modules
NOTE:
Connect the
USB 2.0 Trans.
interfaces to one of the dynamic ports of the IO
card
CCD-IO16-Card-MULTI
if you want to connect the computer module to a
compatible matrix switch (see page 5).
Mind the notes in the paragraph
Purpose and configuration of multi cards
in the user
manual of the web application.
NOTE:
With the also available
CON-2
versions of the user modules, you can con-
nect a console to two
different
digital extenders of the
Vision
series.
Alternatively, you can connect a compatible matrix switch to each of the two
channels instead of a digital extender.
IMPORTANT:
The device uses components with laser technology which comply
with laser class 1.
Never stare directly into the beam when wearing optical instruments!
NOTE:
Remove the protection caps from the
Transmission
interfaces and the cable
plugs.
