Replacing a Faulty BBU

Step 1.
Remove the controller module.

Step 2.
Remove the previously installed DIMM module from the
DIMM socket.
Pull down the white clips on either side of the
DIMM module to a 45-degree angle to dislodge the DIMM
module. (See
Figure 5-6
)

Step 3.
Re-insert the new DIMM module
. Align the new DDR RAM
DIMM module with the DIMM socket and gently (but firmly)
push it in. The white clips on either side of the slot should
automatically close and lock the new DIMM module into place.

Step 4.
Install the controller module.
Once the new DIMM module has
been installed, place the controller module back in its original
location. (See
Section 5.2.3
