Setting the boiling point
The point at which water begins to boil depends on the
height of your kitchen above sea level. If the water boils
too hard or not hard enough, the boiling point can be
set. Proceed as follows here:
▯
Select the basic setting
™†
, see section
▯
The basic setting is set to 3 by default. If your home
is at an elevation between 200 and 400 m above sea
level, no setting of the boiling point is required.
Otherwise, select the setting that is specified in the
table below for the appropriate elevation:
Note:
The heat setting 212° F (100 °C) is sufficient for
efficient cooking even if the water does not boil too
hard. If you are not satisfied with the boiling result, you
can change the boiling point setting.
Connecting the wireless temperature sensor to the
cooktop
Before first use of the boiling sensor function, the
connection must be established between the wireless
temperature sensor and the control panel.
To connect the wireless temperature sensor to the
control panel, follow the instructions below:
1
Call up the basic setting
™†
, see section
The
¨
symbol lights up white.
2
Press the
¨
symbol. A signal sounds and the
¨
symbol lights up orange. The burner indicators light
up white, and the boiling sensor indicators on the
burners flash.
Briefly press the
¨
symbol on the wireless
temperature sensor within 30 seconds.
3
Detection successful:
The wireless temperature
sensor is detected in a few seconds. Three short
beeps will sound, and the
¨
symbol will change
from orange to white. The boiling sensor indicators
on the burners go out.
Detection failed:
Five beeps will sound. The
¨
symbol changes immediately from orange to white,
and the boiling sensor indicators on the burners go
out.
▯
The boiling sensor functions are made available
once the temperature sensor has been connected
to the control panel correctly.
▯
If there is a fault in the temperature sensor, the
connection may not be established correctly for the
following reasons:
‒
Bluetooth communication error.
‒
You did not press the
¨
symbol on the
temperature sensor within 30 seconds of
selecting a burner.
‒
The battery in the temperature sensor is dead.
Reset the wireless temperature sensor and follow
the connection process once again.
▯
If the temperature sensor and the control panel are
not connected correctly due to a transmission error,
follow the connection process once again.
If no connection can be established, inform
customer service.
Resetting the wireless temperature sensor
1
Touch and hold the
¨
symbol for approximately 8-
10 seconds.
While you are doing this, the temperature sensor's
LED indicator will light up three times. When the
LED lights up for the third time, it will start to reset
the temperature sensor. At this point, you will need
to lift your finger off the symbol.
Once the LED goes out, this means that the
wireless temperature sensor has been reset.
2
Repeat the connection process from point 2.
