Together with the 3925 Multi-ATOP, the SKP supports the possibility of switching the S120
on automatically using the on/off facility.
In addition, the S120 must be configured to switch on and off automatically as part of the
starting and shutting down procedure for the SKP (see page 25).
The ATOP switches the SKP on via its remote switching interface. The SKP switches during
startup the S120 on. After the IMPL, the BS2000 system is started using the POWER ON
IPL function of the SVP or using the ATOP menu.
The BS2000 system can be operated both via the ATOP and manually by the operator.
To switch off the system, BS2000 must first of all be exited (ATOP/operator). The S120 is
switched off by the ATOP. Therefore the ATOP sends the command
/usr/apc/bin/onoff -off to the SINIX of the SKP. Afterwards the ATOP can terminate
the SINIX system by sending the command shutdown and can switch off the SKP.
