Configure the management port. Refer to the explanation of "2.2. Connecting
to the Console of the Switch".

Update the firmware using the copy command.
2.2.
Connecting to the Console of the Switch
According to the following steps, you can access the console of the switch.
1.
Turn on AC power of the switch to start up. It takes about 10 minutes for the
switch to be booted up.
2.
Connect the switch to a console device.
Use the Ethernet console port of the switch for the connection. The
RJ-45-to-DB-9 cable supplied with the switch is available for connecting to
RS-232 serial port of a device.
3.
Configure the terminal with the following settings.

Login to the system with user
admin
. There is no default password.
Initially the switch does not have IP address. However, the DHCP client on the
management port is enabled by default. IP address and other network properties
are automatically assigned by DHCP. You can configure the management port
manually in the following way.

Check the current settings with
show serviceport
command.
