Preparation
Removing the server from the rack and opening the server
Remove the server from the rack cabinet, if it is not sufficiently accessible.
I
Removing the server from the rack may be different. In this case you will
find the description in the packaging of the rack mounting kit.

Disconnect all cables on the rear side of the server.

CAUTION!
At least two people are needed to lift the server out of the rack cabinet.
Ê
Loosen the two knurled screws on the front (see
figure 4 on page 30
) and
pull the server as far as it will go out of the rack.

Pull the locking bar forward on both sides (1).
Ê
Lift the server out of the rails (2) and place it on a table, for example.
Ê
Pull the locking lever as far as it will go (see also
figure 2 on page 28
). This
pushes the top cover backward.
Ê
Remove the top cover.
