Terminate all applications and shut down the server correctly.
Ê
If your operating system has not switched off the server, press the On/Off
button.
Ê
Pull all power cords out of the power outlet.

Opening the server
Pulling the server out of the rack and opening the server

Loosen the two knurled screws (1) and pull the server as far as possible out
of the rack (2).
Ê
Pull the locking lever as far as it will go (see also
figure 2 on page 28
). This
pushes the top cover backward.

CAUTION!
Do not use the pulled-out server as a surface on which to put things or
as a work surface, and strictly avoid leaning on or against it.
Ê
Remove the top cover.
