CAUTION!
If nothing appears on the screen but flickering stripes after switching on
the server, switch the server off immediately (see section
“Flickering
stripes on monitor screen” on page 65
).
The On/Off button does not disconnect the server from the mains. To
disconnect from the mains completely, remove the power plug(s).
Switching the server on
The power-on indicator (item 10 in
figure 11 on page 49
) lights red.

Starting up for the first time:

Press the On/Off button (position 7 in
figure 11 on page 49
).
The power-on indicator lights up green (item 10 in figure
figure 11 on
page 49
).

Insert
ServerStart
disc 1 in the CD/DVD drive.
Ê
Follow the on-screen instructions (see also
section “Configuration with
ServerStart” on page 59
or
section “Configuration without ServerStart”
on page 60
).

The server is switched on, performs a system test and boots the
