Installing and removing boards

The server can be extended with ISA, EISA and PCI boards, depending on the
slots available on the system board.

Installing a board

Ê 

Read carefully the documentation supplied with the board.

Ê 

Open the server (see "

Opening the server

").

Remove the screw (1) and take out the rear slot cover plate (2).

!

Do not dispose of the rear slot cover plate. For cooling, protection against
fire and in order to comply with EMC regulations, you must refit the rear
slot cover plate if you remove the board.
