This section describes the names of parts and their functions.

Front view
Paper chute
Open the cover to use the ScanSnap.

Opening the cover turns on the ScanSnap.
ADF
(ADF:Automatic Document Feeder)
Paper chute
After opening it, load the documents to be scanned
onto this part.
Side guide
Adjust the side guides to the width of
documents so that the scanned images will not be
skewed.
Cover open lever
To open the ADF, pull this lever toward you.
Paper chute guide
Pull out this guide to support the documents when nec-
essary.
[SCAN] button
Starts the scanning.
Power indicator
Indicates the power status of the ScanSnap.
White (Solid)
: Ready
White (Blinking): Scanning/Standby
Orange (Solid) : Error
Light off
: Power off
