- Power Management
Your Tablet PC’s system memory typically stores the file on which you are working, open application information, and
any other data required to support operations in progress. When you resume operation from Sleep mode, your Tablet
PC will return to the point where it left off. You must use the Power/Suspend/Resume switch to resume operation, and
there must be an adequate power source available, or your Tablet PC will not resume.
Hibernation (Save-to-Disk) Feature
The Hibernation feature saves the contents of your Tablet PC’s system memory to the hard drive as a part of the
Suspend/Resume mode. You can enable or disable this feature.
Enable or Disable the Hibernation Feature
The default settings are not enabled. To enable or disable the Hibernation feature follow these steps:
1
Windows 7
: From the Start menu, select Control Panel, then select the Power Options icon.
Windows 8:
From the Modern Start screen, press [W[X]. Select
Control Panel
from the menu, then select
Power Options
.
2
Select “Choose what the power button does” or “Choose what closing the lid does”, then make your selections (Do
Nothing, Sleep, Hibernate, or Shut Down).
