Touchpad Pointing Device/Scroll Wheel
Figure 9. Touchpad pointing device
The Touchpad pointing device comes built into your Fujitsu LIFEBOOK notebook. It is used to control the movement
of the pointer to select items on your display panel. The Touchpad is composed of a cursor control, a left button, a
right button, and a scroll/fingerprint sensor.
The cursor control works the same as a mouse, and moves the cursor around the display. It only requires light pressure
with the tip of your finger. The left and right buttons function the same as mouse buttons. Additionally, the touchpad
allows you to zoom in or out and scroll through large documents using simple gestures. The actual functionality of
the buttons may vary depending on the application that is being used.
Note that the fingerprint recognition sensor also functions as a scroll sensor. After logging in, moving your finger up
and down the sensor will act the same as a scroll button. To learn how to use the fingerprint sensor, see “Appendix B:
Fingerprint Sensor Device” on page 163.
