4.4.2 Replacing Pad ASY

CAUTION

Inside ADF may become extremely hot. Avoid injury.

To remove Pad ASY:

1. Open ADF cover.
2. Push both sides of the clamp so that Pad ASY can be lifted up for removal.

To mount Pad ASY:

3. Prepare a new Pad ASY.
4. Hold both sides of the clamp and mount Pad ASY into pad holder.

NOTE

Make sure that the Pad ASY is installed correctly.
Incorrect installation may cause a paper jam and reading error.
