This section shows the exterior view and assemblies of the scanner.
This section also provides the name of each part and describes its functions.

Front side
Part Function
ADF paper chute A and
ADF paper chute B
Holds the documents to be fed by the automatic
document feeder (ADF).
Side guide
Holds the documents straight.
Document stopper
Needs to be adjusted dependent upon paper size
being fed into the ADF.
Document cover
ADF: Stacks the read documents.
Flatbed: Closes over and keeps in place the document
to be read.
Automatic document feeder
(ADF)
Automatically feeds documents to the reading
position.
