Indicators on the device
The following indicators are located on the front as well as on the rear:

Description
ID
ID indicator (blue) Lights up blue when the system was selected by pressing
the ID button. Pressing the button again deactivates the
indicator.
Power-on
indicator
(green/orange/
yellow)

Lights green when the device is switched on.
●
Flashes green when the system is in standby mode.
●
Lights orange when the system is in shutdown mode
(shutting down of the operating system) or is
switched off.
Hard disk activity
(green)
Lights green when an internal hard disk drive is being
accessed.
Global error
indicator (orange)
●
Lights orange if a pre-failure event was detected,
that requires a (preventive) service action.
●
Flashes orange if a fault was detected which
requires a service action.
●
Unlit if there is no critical event present.
After a power failure, the indicator is activated after the
restart, provided that the event is still acute.
The indicator also lights in standby mode.
You can obtain more details of the indicated faults from
the System Event Log (SEL) or query them using the Web
user interface of the iRMC S3.
