Installing and removing the hard disk
Ê
Open the casing (see "Opening the casing").
Ê
If you want to install a hard disk in the bottom bay, you must remove the drive cage (see
"Installing and removing the drive cage").
The plastic rails for a second hard disk are in the upper part of the casing.
Installing the hard disk
Ê
Make the required settings (e.g. master-slave settings) on the drive.
Ê
Secure the plastic rails on the side of the
hard disk by inserting the pins of the
plastic rail in the corresponding holes of
the hard disk.
Ê
Push the hard disk drive into the drive
cage until the plastic rails engage.
Ê
If you have removed the drive cage earlier, insert it again (see "Installing and removing the
drive cage").
Ê
Plug the data and the power supply connectors into the hard disk drive.
i
Connect the blue plug of the data cable to the connection on the mainboard. Connect the
plug on the other end to the hard disk drive.
Ê
Close the casing (see "Closing the casing").
i
You may have to check the entry for the drive in the Setup menu.
