Replacement routines
Replacing the fan backplane
Ê
Connect the cables of the accessible drives.
Ê
Close the server and connect all power plugs (for a detailed description see
the Options Guide).

Replacing the fan backplane

Open the server as described in the
section “Preparation” on page 17
Ê
Remove all the cables from the fan backplane.

Loosen the knurled screw (see figure) from the fan backplane, then move the
backplane to the direction of the arrow until its holes disengage from the
housing stand-offs.
Lift the fan backplane, then set it aside.
Ê
Install the new fan backplane, match its holes with the housing stand-offs
then move it to the opposite direction to lock.

Connect all cables to the fan backplane (see

Close the server and connect all power plugs (for a detailed description see
the Options Guide).
