Open the server as described in the
section “Preparation” on page 17

Remove the I
2
C bus cable from the chassis ID module (see figure).
Ê
Undo the screw and remove the chassis ID module.
Ê
Insert the chassis ID module and fasten it with the screw.
Ê
Plug the I
2
C bus cable.
Ê
Close the server and connect all power plugs (for a detailed description see
the Options Guide).

To enable
ServerView
and
ServerStart
to identify the system, the Chassis
ID-Prom must be reprogrammed using the “Chassis ID Prom tool” after
the new chassis ID module has been installed.
You will find this tool on the ServerSupport CD or you can download it
from the service and support area of Fujitsu Siemens Computers (FSC
Web Server/URL:

).
