Getting Started
Using the remote control handset to control your THOMSON
television and DVD player
The DVR remote control handset is a 3 in 1 device that allows you to control the operation of
3 devices: your DVR, a Thomson TV set or a Thomson DVD player. This page describes the keys
that control your TV set and your DVD player if they have the same functions.
Controlling a THOMSON TV set
TV
Sets the remote control unit in TV mode (by pressing once) and
enables you then to control your TV set.
B
Switches the TV set on or off
a
Volume control.
c
Switches sound off or on again.
PR +/-
Switches channel or selects an AV socket.
AV
Selects an AV socket.
0 to 9
Keys enter digital values or change channel.
MENU
Displays main TV set menu.
EXIT
Removes menu or other information displayed on the screen.
TEXT
Access teletext pages.
Note:
The colour keys enable you to use the teletext function on
THOMSON TV sets.
Controlling a THOMSON DVD player
DVD
Sets the remote control unit in DVD mode (by pressing once) and
enables you then to control your DVD player.
B
Switches the DVD player on or off
PR +/-
Skips forward or backward a chapter (DVD) or track (CD).
0 to 9
To enter information (chapter, track number,...).
MENU
Displays the DVD disc menu while a disc is being played.
EXIT
Return to the main menu.
REV
Fast backward whilst a disc is being played.
PLAY
Plays a disc.
FWD
Fast forward whilst a disc is being played.
STOP
Stops a disc playing.
PAUSE
Still picture and frame by frame advance.
REPLAY
Skip back - to have another look at the last few seconds whilst
playing a disc.
