3.6.5. Setting Jumpers
Refer to the following illustration and instructions to set the jumpers
on your mainboard.

Clear CMOS/Password Jumper
You may need to clear the CMOS if your system cannot boot up b e-
cause you forgot your password, or the CMOS settings need to be
reset to default values after the system BIOS has been updated.
Refer to the following to reset your CMOS setting.
1.
Power off the system and disconnect the power cable.
2.
Place a shunt to short pin 2 and pin 3 of JP2 for five sec-
onds.
3.
Place the shunt back to pin 1 and pin 2 of JP2.
4.
Power on the system.
