Never allow leaking caustic electrolyte from the battery pack to contact your eyes, body
or clothing.

If caustic electrolyte from the battery pack should contact your eyes, immediately
wash your eyes with large amounts of running water and obtain prompt medical
attention, to help prevent permanent eye damage.

If electrolyte should contact any part of your body, immediately wash it off under
running water to help prevent skin rashes.
•
If electrolyte should contact your clothes, promptly remove them to help prevent
the electrolyte from contacting your body.
CAUTION !
Never dispose of used battery packs with other ordinary solid wastes, since they contain
toxic substances. Always dispose of used battery packs in compliance with local, state
and federal regulations that apply to the disposal of batteries.
CAUTION !
Never continue to use a battery pack after its recharging capability has become
drastically diminished.
NOTE
1.
Always confirm that a “clicking” sound has resulted, when installing the battery
pack in the external drive. That sound confirms that the battery pack has been
securely inserted.
2.
When installing new software or using Product Recovery CD, always operate the
external drive with an AC adaptor.
