Soft Keys in the Diccionario
VOX de la lengua española
While using the Diccionario VOX
de la lengua española, at any
given moment, up to four extra
functions are available. For
example, in the entry for “tener”,
you see the following Soft Keys:
Press…
To…
look up any inflections
for “tener”.
look up a grammar
topic describing verbs.
search for phrases
containing “tener”.
add “tener” to My
Spanish Vocabulary List.
Please remember, the Soft Keys
vary based on the book you are
in. These are the Soft Keys while
in the Diccionario VOX de la
lengua española.
Note: When there is no active
word, for example at the empty
word search screen,
goes
to the main menu of the Grammar
Guide, displays
My
Vocabulary List, and
goes
to the empty word search screen
of the phrase book.
In some dictionaries, a thesaurus
may be available. Thesaurus entries
may consist of a brief definition,
followed by groups of synonyms,
antonyms and/or classmates.
Synonyms are words that have
similar meanings. Antonyms are
words that have the opposite
meaning. Classmates are words that
are related in some way to the word
being defined. In this device, a
thesaurus is available only when
using the Merriam-Webster
Dictionary & Thesaurus.

Merriam-Webster Dictionary &
Thesaurus and then press
ING/ENTER.
3. Press .
4. Type excellent and then press
ING/ENTER.
The thesaurus entry for “excellent”
is displayed. Use the navigation
button to read the text.
5. Press CLEAR when done.

You can go directly to the
thesaurus entry of any word you
look up in the Merriam-Webster
Dictionary & Thesaurus. While
reading the definition of a word,
simply press
to view that
word’s thesaurus entry.
