DRIVE CONFIGURATION
To adjust system settings, make sure power is off and remove the cover.
Motor Type Selection
Select Motor Type (DIP SW1 – Position 6)
When using a Franklin Electric Submersible motor, SW1 – Position 6 must be set to
SUB
(down).
When using a Surface/Centrifugal style pump, SW1 – Position 6 must be in the
CEN
(up) position.
Select Submersible Motor Phase (DIP SW1 – Position 7)
When using a
Single
phase 3-wire submersible motor, position 7 must be set to
MD 3W
(up)
.
When using a
Three
phase submersible motor, position 7 must be set to
SD 3P
(down)
.
Submersible Motor Horsepower Setting (DIP SW1 – Positions 1–5)
Select a single DIP switch from SW1, position 1 - 5 that corresponds with the submersible motor/pump HP
being used and place it in the
U
P
position. The corresponding HP values are printed above the SW1 diagram
on the shield.
Selecting none or more than one switch will result in an Invalid Configuration fault.
Surface Pump Maximum Amps Setting (DIP SW1 – Positions 1–5)
When the drive is configured to operate a surface style pump, SW1 – Positions 1-5 must be used to set the
correct
MAX AMPS
motor overload current to properly protect the motor. Refer to
for more information.
NOTE:
DIP SW1 – Position 8 is not used at this time.

Contact with hazardous voltage could result in death or serious injury.
•
Do not attempt to modify DIP switch or potentiometer settings until power has been removed and 5
minutes have passed to allow internal voltage to discharge.
•
Do not power on or use the drive with the cover removed.
