All the ventilation duct connections to the unit must be sealed with mastic or a sealing strip.
The minimum distance to be observed between the tapping and the bends or adapters is three times the diameter of
the tapping.
4.3
CONNECTION OF THE RECTANGULAR DAMPER
The fresh air duct closes immediately after the machine is switched off. It is pre-installed in the factory. If it has not
been factory-fitted, follow the mounting steps below:
•
Remove the panel with a crosshead screwdriver
•
Then unscrew the tapping collar from the inside
•
Refit the panel without the tapping collar
•
Fit the damper using 4 self-tapping screws
•
Bring the electrical cables of the damper level with the control cabinet, making use of the cable conduit.
•
Pass the cable through an available cable gland
•
Connect to the electrical terminal block
Since this damper is square, it requires an adapter for connection to circular ducts.
4.4
CONDENSATE CONNECTION
It is important to install a condensate discharge siphon to prevent odours and
to compensate for the pressure difference between the outside (atmospheric
pressure) and inside of the unit.
Height X (in mm) must at least (with a margin of 50 mm) correspond to the
negative pressure in the unit in mm water column. See above. Height Y (in
mm) must be half of the negative pressure in the unit. We generally use
Y=X/2 (see opposite).
If the unit is installed in non-heated rooms or outside, the siphon must be
thermally insulated and heated with the aid of a cable (not supplied by France
AIR) If no siphon is installed, the machine shall no longer be covered by the
warranty. If the machine is installed outside, it must be ensured that the
siphon is free from ice at the time of installation.

ELECTRICAL CONNECTION OF THE UNIT
NB!
•
The main electrical disconnect switch must be set to "off" before any operation on the ventilation unit
•
The unit's electrical connection must be implemented by a professional electrician.
•
Installation must be performed by a person trained to carry out electrical installations. All the instructions
provided in this manual, as well as the local directives and legal regulations, must be observed.
•
The electrical information indicated on the product takes priority over the diagrams shown in this manual.
•
Before beginning installation, check that the terminal markings correspond to the indications on the electrical
wiring diagram. If you have any doubts, contact France Air and do not connect under any circumstances.
•
In the case of an electrical installation without neutral (IT system) or with a poor quality neutral (possible in
TN - TT systems), provide an isolation transformer. This isolation transformer must be installed upstream of
the unit in order to create an artificial neutral. It is not included in the scope of delivery of France Air.
