7.9 Safeguarding 

the 

loading and unloading points 

Fall protection that will prevent a person falling must be fitted at 

all

 loading and unloading 

points where there is a risk of falling from a height of more than 10’0” (3 m) (confirm with local 
regulation). Use approved general-purpose safety belt

 

when working outside the car. 

Only landing gates which guarantee safe transfer to the building in combination with a plat-
form are permitted for the tested and approved Fraco hoists. 
 
 

  A limit switch cam (2) must be mounted 

as lowest stop point before the car 
drives in to the bottom buffer. A minimal 
distance of 51" (1295 

mm) must be 

maintained from the end of the cam to 
the base landing. 

  Working from the car, attach the limit 

switch cam (2) to the mast section and 
fasten it in place. 

  The car is stopped at this bar by the 

down operating limit switch or the emer-
gency limit switch if there is a fault.
