LEAK / SINKING / CAPSIZE

➤Close the seacocks if you leave the boat for a longer period of time!

➤The bilge pumps are not designed to combat major ingress of water e.g. throuh a leak.
➤
➤Bilge pumps are regularly maintained. But please pay attention to dirt and cleanliness in the bilge.
The level of bilge water should always be kept to a minimum or better the bilges should be dry.

➤In stormy weather and rough seas, all hatches, lockers, doors and other openings should be closed to reduce the
risk of flooding and water ingress.

➤Make sure that all water flow openings in the floor panels are clear.
➤
➤Free the intake sockets from dirt.
The boat has foamed collision areas in the bows. In addition, it is constructively designed so that at ground contact the
keels can be damaged or even fall off, but the hull remains untouched.
In the unlikely event that the boat capsizes, it usually remains upside down and will not normally sink. To get out of the
boat, there is an emergency exit hatch in each hull under the stairs. This must always be secured with the fuse stick
and always be firmly closed!
The boat has a self-drained cockpit. Nevertheless, the ingress of water into the cockpit should be avoided as far as
possible and the water drain must always be guaranteed.
The sail area must be adjusted according to the wind force and swell of the
sea conditions are reduced (reefed). Damage to the rig to breakage of the
mast and capsizing of the boat can be the extreme result of disregard.
