Main Panel Features
The S1 GSM WiFi main panel is able to act as a stand-alone
local alarm with wireless accessories. It is also able to act as
a self-monitored system when connected through an ex-
isting WiFi signal and/or a GSM SIM card. The system is
also compatible with Contact ID central monitoring com-
panies (
with active SIM card required
).
The Fortress wireless accessories use a 433MHz radio sig-
nal to communicate with the main panel. These accessories
have a range of about 150 feet from the main panel. Keep
in mind that the 433MHz radio signal will be blocked by
brick walls, concrete walls, metal sheets, and other dense
materials. Line of sight is best for wireless communications,
but regular drywall should not block the signal. We also
have optional Fortress wireless signal repeaters available
for sale. These signal repeaters will re-broadcast signals
that they receive at a higher strength, which can effectively
increase the range of the system by another 200 to 400 feet.
