Turn both handles to their fully-closed positions.

When the handles are fully-closed they lock into place.

10

Carefully slide the board completely out of the slot.

11

Re-attach the protective metal frame if you are going ship the FortiController-5913C
board or store it outside of a chassis.

Resetting a FortiController-5913C board

You can use the following procedure to reset a FortiController-5913C board without
removing it from the chassis.

To reset a FortiController-5913C without removing the board from the chassis

You do not have to loosen the retention screws or adjust the position of the
FortiController-5913C board to use this procedure.

To complete this procedure, you need:

An ATCA chassis with a FortiController-5913C board installed

An electrostatic discharge (ESD) preventive wrist strap with connection cord

1

Attach the ESD wrist strap to your wrist and to an ESD socket or to a bare metal
surface on the chassis or frame.

2

Unlock the right handle by squeezing the handle lock.

3

Pivot the right handle open.

The handle can only pivot a short distance. Pivoting the right handle turns off the
microswitch which powers down the board, turning off all LEDs except the IPM LED
which turns on.
