Site selection
Force10 Networks’ equipment is intended for installation in restricted access areas. A restricted access
area is one in which access can only be gained by service personnel through the use of a special tool, lock,
key or other means of security and access is controlled by the authority responsible for the location.
Make sure that the area where you install your S4810 chassis meets the following safety requirements:
•
Near an adequate power source. Connect the system to the appropriate branch circuit protection as
defined by your local electrical codes.
•
Environmental temperature between
32° to 104°F (0° to 40°C)
.
•
Relative humidity that does not exceed 85% non-condensing.
