BLOWER ACCESSORY
WARNING: If there is a duplex
electrical outlet installed in the
right side of the bottom of the
fireplace base area, be sure that
the electrical power to the outlet is
turned off before proceeding with
blower installation. Failure to do
this may result in serious injury.
Model BKT
This product is equipped with a BKT blower.
The blower is located against the lower rear
wall of the firebox outer wrapper with the
exhaust port directed upward. The blower is
held in position against the back wall by the
magnets incorporated onto the blower hous-
ing (see Figure 33).
The thermal disc assembly is attached to
the outer firebox onthe upper left side of the
fireplace (see Figure 35, page 22). The ther
-
modisc must be oriented as shown Figure 35,
page 22 in order to sense temperature and
properly operate.

CAUTION: Never touch the
blower wheel while in operation.
For thermal disk replacement, loosen screw
and slide bracket assembly out from under-
neath screw (see Figure 35, page 24).
Blower will only run when speed control knob
is in the ON position and thermal switch
senses temperature after fireplace begins to
heat up. Blower speed can be adjusted by ro-
tating control knob. To turn off, turn knob fully
counterclockwise until it clicks off. If blower
is ON and has been running with fireplace
operating, blower will continue to run for a
short time after fireplace has been turned off.
As thermal switch cools down, blower shuts
down automatically.
