Before installation and commissioning, carry out a visual inspection of the drum
emptying system and the hoses.
Attention!
> Observe the maximum permitted operating pressure of the hose.
Allow for sufficient nominal diameter.
> Keep the hose as short as possible.
In order to relieve the drum emptying system from the weight of the hose
filled with the medium, we recommend using a spring balancer.
> Lock the locking bolts (2) to fix the pump
centring plate.
On drums with a filling height of
less than 5 cm to the drum edge,
the pump-centring flange cannot
be immediately correctly fixed on
the edge of the drum. In this case,
pump off the medium until the
pump centring plate finishes flush
with the edge of the drum and
then lock the locking bolts.
> Put the eccentric worm-drive pump through
the opening of the pump-centring flange and
the guide of the follower plate.
> Push the eccentric worm-drive pump until it
gets in contact with the bottom.
> If not already done so, fix the material hose
(suited to the medium) at outlet (3) of the
discharge tube.
> Connect the compressed-air hose of the
follower plate with the compressed-air
coupling of the pump centring plate (4)
(ball valve closed).
> Put the motor on the pump and tighten the
union nut (5).
> Connect the motor to the power supply.
Use with approved spring balancer:
> At heavy three-phase motors (> 10 kg)
mount the bracket (6) (accessory) on the
bearing flange (7) of the eccentric worm-
drive pump.
> To handle the three-phase motor with the
pump, an approved spring balancer must be
mounted onto the bracket of the motor.
