> When lifting the follower plate press down
the pump (2). Then the pump is not
pushed out of the follower plate guidance
and there is no premature demolition of
compressed air.
> The follower plate moves upwards. It can
come to stand at the height of the bottom
drum bead.
> Hook the arresting hook (3) on the edge of
the drum so that the follower plate does
not fall back on the bottom of the drum.
> Switch off the compressed air only then.
> On drums with smooth edges, see page
42.
> Remove the pump from the pump centring
plate and the follower plate.
> Take off compressed-air supply.
> Lift flange-mounted three-phase motors
with the pump over the lifting device.
> Release the compressed-air hose of the
follower plate from the compressed-air
coupling of the pump centring plate.
> Unlock the locking bolts at the pump
centring plate.
> Remove the pump centring flange from the
edge of the drum and put it down.
> Remove the follower plate out of the drum
(4).
Attention - danger of crushing for feet!
The drum is usually lifted when lifting flange-mounted pumps with lifting
device. When separating pump and follower plate the drum falls back
down. There is danger of crushing of the feet.
> Try to keep the drum by light pressure on the ground.
> Work carefully and keep a safe distance from the drum!
Wear safety shoes!
Attention - danger of crushing for fingers!
The pump centring plate is usually lifted when lifting pumps with lifting
device. When separating pump and pump centring plate the pump
centring plate falls back down. There is danger of crushing of the
fingers.
> Try to hold the pump centring plate by light pressure.
> Work carefully and keep a safe distance from the drum!
