Lock the reel with the reel ratchet lock device (by twisting the rotary knob clockwise to position
‘L’ as indicated on the reel) once the helper is ready to launch your kite.

Have the helper stand behind your kite facing the wind direction while holding the nose of your
kite upwards.

Hold the reel in a secure way before you give your helper the sign to let go of your kite.

In light winds your kite may be reluctant to climb, walking further backwards upwind will help to
drive your kite upwards until it gets to a higher position with steadier and stronger winds where
it will then fl y safely and stably.
