After programming and setting options on your computer you are now ready to install the FT-820. Here is a more

detailed description of the wires of the FT-820.

Connector:  6-Pin (Pre-wired Antenna Cable)

Pin 1  Red - Constant 12V positive (+) output.

Pin 2  White - TX output. This wire transmits the signal to remote.

Pin 3  Orange - Constant 5V positive (+) output.

Pin 4  Yellow - RX input. This wire receives the signal from remote.

Pin 5  Black - Negative (-) ground.

Pin 6  Blue - (RX/TX) Control

Connector:  10-Pin

Pin 1  Brown - Siren 12V positive (+) output. Connect this wire to the (+) wire located on the siren. To  change siren

output settings, review Option 2-07.

Pin 2  Blue - 250mA negative (-) output when armed. This wire provides a ground when armed to activate a starter

kill relay. Caution:  When this wire is being used to trigger aftermarket accessories it must be diode isolated.

Pin 3  Yellow - 250mA negative (-) Disarm output. This wire is used to disarm the factory alarm on some of the ve-

hicles.

Pin 4  Yellow/White - 250mA negative (-) Rearm output. This wire will rearm the factory alarm if connected. It can

also be reprogrammed to trigger the factory horn or can be used as an Auxiliary 1 output.

Pin 5  Light Blue/White - Brake 12V positive (+) input. This input must be connected as it provides a shut down for

the remote start.  The proper wire will test (+) 12V while the foot brake is pressed.

Pin 6  Light Blue - Parking / Emergency brake negative (-) input. This input is required for manual transmission/reser-

vation and turbo-timer mode. The proper wire will provide a (-) trigger when parking / emergency brake is set.

Pin 7  Orange - ISO9141-2 wire. This wire must be connected to the OBD-II connector. This is typically connected

to pin 12 (Except for KIA Amanti which is located at pin 7) on the OBD-II connector.

Hyundi Azera requires both

CAN High and CAN Low plus the ISO wire connected

. Future Hyundai and Kia vehicles will have CAN High and

Low wires. Firstech does not recommend using any T-Taps or scotch locks on these wires.

Pin 8  Grey - CAN Low wire. This wire will be connected to the CAN Low wire on newer Hyundai and Kia vehicles.

This is strictly a data wire. Firstech recommends not using any T-Taps or scotch locks on these wires.

Pin 9  Grey/Black - CAN High wire. This wire will be connected to the CAN High wire on newer Hyundai and Kia

vehicles. This is strictly a data wire. Firstech recommends not using any T-Taps or scotch locks on these wires.

Pin 10  Pink - Start trigger wire. A single ground pulse on this wire will activate the remote start process. This is most

commonly used when adding a remote start to a factory keyless entry system.
