The following sensors are available but not included with the FT-820 system:

The remote(s) and antenna are available in the RF blister packaging. You have the ability to pair almost any Firstech

remote(s) and antenna receiver to the FT-820. This is limited to 5P LCD remotes.

The FT-820 settings and options must be programmed using the FT-820 software. You must choose the vehicle make

and model, options, and whether its on an automatic or manual transmission.

STEP 1: Go to www.compustar.com/ft820 and download the UpdateSetup.exe Double

click the icon labeled UpdateSetup V1.3. Follow your on screen instructions to load the

FT-820 update program. Update V1.3 icon will appear on your desktop. Double click to

open.

STEP 2: Connect the FT-820 control module to the 6 pin uploader cable shown to the

right. The 6 pin connector will connect to the antenna port on the control module.

STEP 3: See Figure 2 on the next page. Click on the drop down menu in the top right

corner of the FT-820 software window. This will be to select which vehicle make and

model the system is being installed on. You must also select whether it is being installed on a manual or automatic

transmission. Under program version you must select the firmware for the FT-820 which in our sample is called:

“MM_FT820_US_TEST_V1.0.ENC” See figure 3 for an example.

The option table will be available on the FT-820 software. Click the check boxes to select the particular option set-

ting.

STEP 4: When finished changing option settings click the UPLOAD DATA button to write the options and finalize

the FT-820 control module for installation.
